Meadow Camp Headcam 2126 CFS

Got out kayaking today with some bright sunny weather and 75% temp. It is time for summer and I could not be happier! As most people know Bend, OR is awesome for summers due to nothing but sunshine and good kayaking soooo close. Here is our local class 4+ run known as Meadow Camp at 2126 CFS on the headcam. Enjoy!

Meet the Team-

Meet Josh Mckeown. 24 yrs. old, and paddling since he was 13, he lives to kayak and travel the world. This summer, he earns his degree in Tourism and Outdoor Leadership at OSU and seeks to work abroad in the outdoor industry. He is currently a sponsored whitewater kayaker and certified in CPR, First Aid, and Swiftwater Rescue. You can find him on any of the local runs, or as far South as Patagonia in Chile. Ask for Josh to help show you the ropes of whitewater kayaking...he loves introducing the sport to others!

Riverhouse Rendevous Race 2009

Riverhouse Rendevous Race (AKA West Cost Junior Olympics Qualifier for Slalom) Went to the race yesterday to take some shots of the dedicated racers. It wasn't over 30 degrees and the winds were kickin' up at about 25 miles per hour! BRR! We had icicles dangling from the gates which were looking like whirlwinds of death. scary. Needless to say, we had a great turn out! 25 racers!

The course had roughly 6 upstream gates and 12 downstream.  I have to say, this course looked tough.  Some difficult gates in there for sure.  Props to everyone for braving the cold and racing!
